RAP LITERACY FORUM HELD AT XAVIER SCHOOL NUVALI

Last August 30, 2014 at the Multi-Purpose Center of Xavier School Nuvali, the annual RAP Literacy Forum was held with the theme, “Thoughtful Teaching through Meaningful Measurements.” The forum was the perfect opportunity to discuss issues in reading assessment that affected literacy instruction. The forum also aimed to help teachers learn strategies for classroom assessment and identify reading difficulties among their students.

The whole morning was spent listening to plenary lectures by Dr. Lorna Dig-Dino (DEP ED Region 2), Mr. Victor Villanueva (Read-ability) and Mr. Frederick Perez (Xavier School Nuvali). In addition, in-depth workshops  on clinical assessment, classroom assessment and phonological awareness were held by Mr. Perez, Mr. Villanueva and Dr. Leonor Diaz (UP College of Education).

The forum was attended by over 150 teachers from different schools in the  NCR and CALABARZON regions.
